Durga Puja 2015 : The Making of Maa Durga : The holy Durga Puja is finally coming. Bengalis calls it Durga Pujo. There are a soothing breeze in the environment of monsoon and also the khushboo of puja mix in environment and make it full of purity and holy. Durga Puja is celebrated just last four days in Kolkata. It is the mark arrival of Maa Durga. The finest artisans of Kolkata are found at the craftsmen’s heaven Kumartuli, to bring the favorite deity of life. 4000 craftsmen housing in over 500 workshops in those bylanes. Maa Durga moulded with extreme devotion and care with their children. To make idols for the festival  they all are move to krishna nagar. Artisans get soil from Sonagachi which call a largest red light area of India. They gather soil from there because it said thae there’s soil is pure and holy and also said that when man enter the area they leave behind their purity and virtue. Than they mix the soil with clay and the soil is ready for sculpting for Maa Durga.

Artisans engrave Maaa DUrga’s feet because it is the rite in Indians that to touch God and Goddess feet to seek their blessings.
